Further delays are expected today as the closure of the A63 Myton Bridge forces traffic to filter through Hull city centre. Motorists were frustrated by long traffic jams on Saturday, when Princes Avenue was also closed for the Vista festival, with reports of some even mounting pavements to navigate the congestion. Today, the Hull derby is due to kick off at noon. For Hull FC supporters, this means that the journey from west to east Hull may prove particularly challenging, with congestion expected around the city centre, Holderness Road and old Hedon Road. There is, however, potential for some respite from the gridlock today, as bus lanes can be used by any motorist all day.
