Hunt for motorcyclist who fled scene after hitting person in Beverley Road

Police were in attendance in Beverley Road after a pedestrian was hit by a motorcyclist at approximately 4.30pm this evening (Thursday, October 31). The pedestrian is said to have suffered minor injuries in the collision but the motorcyclist fled the scene, police say. A spokesman for Humberside Police said: “There has been a collision between a motorcyclist and a pedestrian. The pedestrian looks to have suffered minor injuries. “The motorcyclist looks to have fled the scene. We would appeal for them to contact us.” Police partially closed Beverley Road temporarily for up to an hour as they dealt with those involved in the accident and an oil spillage in the road. Police in Beverley Road One passerby said that Beverley Road became one-way traffic as emergency services treated those involved in the accident. He said: “There’s been an accident involving a motorcycle near the Harry Pursey down Beverley Road. Police and ambulance there. One way traffic. “There was two police cars on the opposite side of the road, and an an ambulance too. “Two policewomen were directing traffic around the ambulance. Two policemen where talking to someone in a car and there was a motorcycle on its side on the path with scratch marks on the floor.” Click here for more news.
