Hunt for Vauxhall driver who fled crash after leaving passenger ‘trapped’

The road was closed as emergency services attended to the collision involving a red Vauxhall Insignia, a black Nissan Qashqai and other parked cars at around 7.20pm. But the driver of the Vauxhall fled the scene before he could be given medical attention while the rear passenger in the car sustained serious injuries. A Humberside Police statement said: “Southcoates Lane in Hull was closed last night while emergency services attended to a road traffic collision near the patrol station.  “The collision was reported to us at 7.20pm and involved red Vauxhall Insignia which collided with a black Nissan Qashqai and other parked cars. “The driver of the Vauxhall fled the scene of the collision and we are very concerned for his welfare as he may be injured and need medical attention.
