‘I held dying boy after motorbike crash’ – Hull police…

A police officer has spoken of the heartbreaking moment she held and comforted a fatally injured young man after a motorcycle accident. The officer tells the tragic story in powerful footage released by Humberside Police. She had been called to the scene of the crash in Ellerburn Avenue, Orchard Park. “I didn’t have any control and I couldn’t do anything except hold this boy and I held him. I took his face and I told him he was going to be alright,” the officer recalls in the video. Now, police are telling his story to raise awareness of the impact of road traffic collisions. The officer rushed to the scene of the crash after a member of the public called the police to Macauley was “dying” in front of her. He had suffered a severe head injury. “I felt nervous. I certainly didn’t think anybody was going to die. I thought it was all going to be alright,” the officer says in the video. “He was bleeding quite badly from the back of his head and I knew that that was open. I could see that his eyes were not responsive at all. “It was like this storm raging. It was a really strange feeling.
