An impatient driver was slammed by motorists after he decided to skip the queue of cars at temporary traffic lights and drive straight into the path of oncoming vehicles. The motorist opted to skip waiting patiently in line this morning at temporary lights at Castle Road in Cottingham and overtake several stationary cars to drive straight into traffic coming from the opposite direction. However, the motorist's plan backfired and he was forced to reverse the full length of the queue to allow the oncoming cars to pass after their lights changed to green. The queue-jumper was photographed by another motorist who was waiting in line, and it was shared to social media, where other gobsmacked motorists couldn't believe the driver's actions. One said: “Idiots. No one is more important than anyone else. We all have somewhere to go, a journey, and a destination.” Another said: “I wouldn’t have let him back in. Made him drive all the way back. I would report to police. Dangerous driving.” A third said: “Idiots like that should have their licence taken off them and have to pass a driving test before being allowed back on the road.” A fourth dubbed the driver an “Impatient clown”. However, some were more sympathetic to his frustrations, after roadworks popping up all over the city and surrounding area have caused motorists misery for months. One wrote: “This guy
