Live A63 traffic updates as ‘serious’ crash blocks road

The A63 is blocked following a “serious” accident near North Ferriby. Traffic is queuing up on the eastbound stretch of the carriageway due to an accident which has happened just before the B1231 turnoff near Melton and North Ferriby. There are reports of congestion all the way back to Brantingham with drivers warned to expect long queues. A statement on traffic management system Inrix says: “Reports of A63 Eastbound partially blocked, queueing traffic due to accident before B1231. Congestion to Brantingham. “Callers state an accident has happened before the North Ferriby turnoff.” According to reports from drivers in the Hull: Traffic & Travel Facebook group, police officers and paramedics are on the scene.
