The road has been slow moving near Goole for a number of days due to emergency repairs on Ouse Bridge which has seen two lanes closed. Today, (Tuesday, March 29) those issues worsened with Humberside Fire and Rescue Service in attendance at an incident near Howden junction. The AA are reporting delays of 13 minutes approaching the lane closures at the Ouse Bridge with an average speed of 10mph. One fire engine and one fast response vehicle had to weave their way to an incident in the middle of the congestion just past junction 36. The closure affected the eastbound carriageway only. Humberside Police confirmed the road was closed to allow emergency services to respond to an incident.
