Drivers across Hull have faced ‘complete gridlock’ after a crash on the A63 and another on Ferensway. The A63 Clive Sullivan Way was blocked after a crash which happened at 3.30pm, between the exit for St Andrews Quay and the exit for Priory Park. Both East Yorkshire buses and Stagecoach reported heavy traffic, with delays of up to 90 minutes. The situation got even worse at 5pm when there was a crash on the southbound carriageway of Ferensway, close to the Doubletree Hilton hotel. A spokeswoman for Humberside Police said of the A63 crash: “We were called at 3.30pm to a two car collision on the west bound carriageway of the A63. “Emergency services are at the scene. “Drivers are advised to avoid the area to avoid possible travel disruption.” Follow our blog below for the latest updates.
