Live Hull traffic updates as crash blocks A63 westbound with ‘car on its roof’

A car has reportedly landed on its roof following an accident on the A63. One lane on the A63 Clive Sullivan Way Westbound is currently shut westbound with traffic queuing from St Andrew’s Quay to Priory Way, Hessle. The accident happened at approximately 12.59pm this afternoon (October 3) with one witness saying a car has landed on its roof. He said: “Accident on Clive Sully going out just past St Andrew’s. Traffic backing up. Saw one car on its roof in the bushes.” Humberside Fire and Rescue have confirmed that they are currently on their way to the incident with three fire engines and a specialist equipment unit. A spokesperson said: “We got the call from the police at 12.59pm. We are currently on our way to the scene. “All we have been told is that there is a road traffic collision on the A63 Westbound”. The lane in the westbound carriageway, previously reported as a full closure, was shut just before 1.30pm. Humberside Police have been approached for a comment.
