Humberside Police reported just after 10pm that both carriageways were closed between North Ferriby and Hessle. There have been unconfirmed reports of a car on fire. Motorists are being advised to avoid the area at this time, and Hull Live will share live updates here. The force reported: “Due to Road Traffic Collision the A63 East and Westbound carriageways are closed in both directions from North Ferriby to Hessle turn off. “Please avoid the area where possible.” One person posted in the Hull Live Traffic and Travel Facebook: “Car on fire.
