Live updates as thousands flock to North Cave Alpaca Fest causing traffic chaos

Thousands of people are flocking to North Cave today for Alpaca Fest, causing traffic chaos in and out of the village. Motorists have reported delays of more than 45 minutes on the B1230 stretching back to the A63 as people head to the popular event, taking place at nearby Ings Park. Some cars have been abandoned near to North Cave and car horns were getting a workout as drivers grew fed up of the traffic queue.
