A lorry turned onto its side making a loud “crunch” noise before closing the A63 westbound carriage on Wednesday evening. Traffic has been at a standstill after the HGV overturned on Clive Sullivan Way between Welton and South Cave, blocking motorists heading out of Hull. For more traffic and travel news, click here It happened shortly before 4.30pm, with chaos hitting Hull on Wednesday afternoon as firefighters tackled a colossal fire at a factory in Hessle. A resident living next to the A63 at Elloughton said it went from calm to chaos in minutes. “I was walking my dog over the Elloughton footbridge and the road was open as normal,” said the man, who didn't want to be named.
