M62 closed eastbound after crash at Howden
Part of the motorway is closed after a crash at Howden causing delays for drivers. Humberside Police announced the M62 eastbound carriageway at Howden is closed following an incident. Traffic radio service Inrix reported there was an accident from J37 A614 (Howden) to J38 A63 (North Cave). The incident has been ongoing since 10.30am and the police have asked people to avoid the area if possible. The AA live traffic map reported severe delays of 13 minutes and delays increasing on the M62 eastbound between the M62 and J37 A614. Please avoid the area if possible.” Inrix reported the incident involved a vehicle that had left the road. Local reports suggest that two air ambulances are at the scene. The traffic radio service said: “M62 Eastbound closed, queueing traffic due to recovery work and accident from J37 A614 (Howden) to J38 A63 (North Cave). Ongoing since around 10:30 and involves a vehicle that has left the road.
