Major Hull travel route closed for ‘up to two weeks’…
A major road in Hull is expected to be closed for two weeks due to damage caused by a burst water main. The issue on Rawling Way has caused “significant damage to the underlying concrete road structure below the tarmac surface layers”, which is expected to take approximately a fortnight to repair. The update comes after the northbound carriageway was closed this morning, leading to significant traffic. Yorkshire Water has since announced that both lanes will be closed for the two-week repair period, resulting in a full closure of what is one of Hull’s primary travel routes, connecting the A63 to Anlaby Road. Bus services that were diverted this morning, including services 1 and 57, are likely to take alternate routes over the coming days.
