Man, 19, arrested after car crashes through Bishop Burton College…

A 19-year-old man has been arrested after a car crashed through a wall outside Bishop Burton College. The large stone sign on York Road was reduced to rubble late on Friday night (May 12) and the damaged Volkswagen Polo remained at the scene the following morning. Humberside Police today confirmed a man was arrested on suspicion of driving when over the prescribed limit and wasting police time in relation to the incident. On Saturday morning, the black car was seen behind the sign, covered in dust marks and had the number plates removed. The wall had been completely wiped out, but York Road remained open.
