More than 50 charged as part of Humberside Police’s December…

More than 50 people have been charged with drink-driving offences as part of Humberside Police's crackdown on drink and drug driving this Christmas. As part of Operation Yuletide, officers from the force's Roads Policing Unit (RPU) have carried out a total of 519 breath tests and 45 drug wipes on drivers across Humberside since the start of December. In total, 57 people have been charged with drink-driving offences, and 18 drug wipes came back positive. Inspector Neil Hutchins from the Roads Policing Unit said: “Over the last few weeks, our team have been out on the roads proactively targeting those who think it is acceptable to drive under the influence. “An essential part of the campaign is educating road users.
