Motorcyclist, 27, dies in A1041 crash near Carlton

Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal crash near Selby. Emergency services were called to the A1041 near Carlton, close to Selby, at around 8pm on Sunday, March 22. A 27-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene following the single-vehicle collision which involved a Yamaha motorbike. North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward to help with their investigation. Police were called to A1041 High Street (Image: Sean Stewart) A spokesman for the force said: “Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision in Carlton, near Selby. “The single-vehicle collision happened at around 8pm on Sunday, 22 March 2020 on the A1041 High Street as it leaves the village of Carlton. “It involved a Yamaha motorcycle which was travelling from Carlton towards Snaith. The 27-year-old male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. “The road was closed for a number of hours whilst police examined the scene.
