Motorists urged to avoid A63 after lorry crash shuts road

Police have closed a stretch of the A63 after an accident between a lorry and a car. The crash happened at after 11am on Thursday and officers are asking motorists to avoid the scene at around St Andrews Quay and the Daltry Street Flyover. Humberside Police tweeted: “We are in attendance to a collision between a lorry and car on the A63 Westbound at the slip road for St Andrews Quay/Daltry Street Flyover. “A road closure is in place whilst emergency services deal with the incident. “We would ask road users to avoid the area.” Traffic management system Inrix also reports that Clive Sullivan Way is blocked on the way out of the city centre, and eastbound traffic is slow as traffic passes the scene.
