Motorists urged to avoid area as police shut road after crash

Emergency services had rushed to the scene of a crash in an East Yorkshire road. The incident occurred shortly before 8.30am on the B1243 West Road between Catwick and Sigglesthorne. Officers from Humberside Police have closed the part of the road which runs between the two villages to vehicles. Police have asked commuters to avoid the area. A tweet by Humberside Police read: “Emergency Services are in attendance at the B1243 West Road between Catwick and Sigglesthorne following a road traffic collision. “The road is currently closed so please avoid the area where possible.” We have contacted the police for a comment.
