Many more drivers from across East Yorkshire have been banned from the roads by magistrates in Hull in recent days. Motorists caught driving under the influence of drink or drugs and whilst disqualified and without insurance were handed lengthy driving bans and hefty fines, as well as a man caught driving without a seatbelt. Here are eight driving offenders who were sentenced at Hull Magistrates' Court last week. Lee Preston, 34, of Green Road, Hedon pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and driving whilst over the legal alcohol limit. He was given a one-year suspended sentence order, banned from driving for 22 months and ordered to pay a £200 fine, a £154 victim services surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service. Catherine Woods, 39, of Greenford Gardens, Hull pleaded guilty to driving whilst above the legal alcohol limit. She was banned from driving for 13 months and ordered to pay a £120 fine.
