New £1.5m roundabout to be built with road closure planned…

A new £1.5m roundabout is to be built in Bempton Lane, Bridlington, to help serve future housing developments in the town. East Riding Council is due to start work on the scheme on Monday, July 1 to create the four-armed roundabout, north of existing houses in Nostell Way. It has been designed to provide future access for housing developments which are planned at either side of the road, on sites that are currently fields. The work is expected to be complete by January 2025. To enable the construction to be carried out, Bempton Lane, north of Nostell Way, will be temporarily closed to traffic at the location of the work from September to January, with a break for Christmas.
