New Bridge Road in east Hull closed after ‘single vehicle crash’

Humberside Police and Humberside Fire and Rescue Service are at the scene of the incident, which happened at around 1.43pm. One woman told Hull Live: “It is cordoned off from just near the Humber Social Club round the bend on the way to Asda. Looks like a car has crashed.” Another posted about the crash in the Hull Traffic and Travel Facebook group: “Accident under railway bridge in New Bridge Road. Police and fire brigade at scene and traffic being turned round.” A spokeswoman for Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said: “We are in attendance. We are assisting police. They have shut New Bridge Road. We have only got one engine in attendance. We were called at 1.43pm.” For updates as we get them, follow the blog below.
