New car park opens for Brough train station as demand…

A new car park has added 52 extra spaces for Brough railway station to cope with increasing demand. The facility, which is located on the south side of the railway crossing on Skillings Lane, provides a direct link to the station via a public footpath north of the train line. The Brough South Consortium developed the car park in response to a shortage of parking at the station, which has seen a significant rise in users in recent years. This surge in demand led to many commuters parking in nearby residential areas, causing congestion and annoyance for local residents.
