New end date for long-running repair works on the M62…

Repair work on the Ouse Bridge is now expected to be completed within the next two months. National Highways had previously hoped the work on the M62 bridge would be completed by the end of August but this target was pushed back in July. In a new update, it has been revealed that, due to “poor summer weather”, it is now expected work will be completed by “late October”. In a statement issued on Wednesday (September 4), National Highways said: “Due to the need for additional work and challenges posed by poor summer weather, the completion of repairs on Ouse Bridge has been delayed. We now expect to finish the work by late October. Once completed, all lanes will be reopened, and the national speed limit will be reinstated.
