Rail passengers in Easy Yorkshire are facing more disruption later this week with a new series of rail strikes set to start. Industrial action by the RMT and ASLEF unions are expected to bring most train services to a halt from tomorrow (Tuesday) to Saturday. RMT members are staging two 48-hour walkouts this week while ASLEF members will be striking on January 5. Train operator Northern has issued a “do not travel” guidance to customers ahead of the strikes. The company normally runs regular services between Hull, Leeds, York, Sheffield and Bridilington.
