Northern Rail is putting its foot down on customers watching and listening to inappropriate content on its trains. “If it’s not suitable for work, it’s not suitable for our trains and stations either,” bosses warned. Content considered NSFW (not safe for work) can range from bad language to sexually explicit material. While people are more likely to behave at work, the rush to view content once they’ve clocked off can mean the train journey home is often the first opportunity to take a look, says Northern. To help get its message across, Northern is reminding customers internet in its stations and onboard its trains is delivered in partnership with Friendly WiFi.
