P&O Ferries axes services and tells customers to find another travel firm

P&O Ferries have again suspended most services this weekend and told customers to book with another operator, despite announcing the were set to resume. Plans for the Pride of Hull to return to operation this weekend have also been shelved and the ship will remain suspended from service until April 11. Only yesterday it was announced they were ready to start running Dover to Calais services this weekend, but they have since backtracked. The company suspended its services entirely on March 17 as it fired 786 British seafarers and replaced them with agency staff. This included 82 crew members of the Pride of Hull, which had a crew sit-in for several hours in protest before eventually agreeing to leave the ship.
