A gas leak on Chanterlands Avenue in Hull has resulted in an emergency road closure that’s expected to last five days. Earlier this afternoon, Hull City Council tweeted informing motorists that the road had to be shut immediately due to a gas leak. Due to the closure, there will be no access to Chanterlands Avenue via Spring Bank West. The road is closed only to vehicles, with pedestrians still able to access it using a path diversion. Signs have been put up to direct people using footpaths onto an alternative route.
