Passport renewal fast track scam sees holidaymakers caught out by…

A warning has been issued to holidaymakers as passport office delays continue, leading to fraudsters taking advantage by using methods to trick travellers. The Chartered Training Standards Institute (CTSI) has said that scam texts and emails regarding passport “fast-track” services are circulating, along with fabricated adverts for holidays which offer great deals. Often those behind the scams tell their victims to pay by cash, via bank transfer or through services like Western Union, which leads to payments being non-refundable as well as very difficult to trace back.
