Pedestrian rushed to hospital with serious injuries following Beverley Road…

A pedestrian was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a collision on Beverley Road in Dunswell on Friday. The incident took place at around 4.30pm on Friday, December 16 between the BP Garage and the end of Dunswell Lane near China Red. It was reported locally that an elderly woman had been involved in a collision with a car driving on Beverley Road. The pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment for what are described as 'serious injuries'. Beverley Road was closed for nearly three hours while emergency services worked the scene. Beverley Road was closed from the Dunswell Roundabout to the end of Dunswell Lane. Bus services were also rerouted around the scene meaning significant delays for many bus services on the route. Officers investigating the collision are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
