A pedestrian has been seriously injured after being struck by a bus on a busy west Hull road. The accident happened at around 10am on Princess Avenue involving an EYMS bus. The road remained completely closed between Westbourne and Marlborough avenues for almost two hours with traffic being diverted down both streets and onto Chanterlands Avenue. A witness said a bus looked to have been in a collision with a cyclist or pedestrian, and described the driver as being sat on the step of the bus looking 'visibly shaken' and a pool of blood could be seen on the road. Humberside Police has since confirmed a man has been taken to Hull Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.
