A person involved in a collision at Willerby had to be rushed to hospital on Wednesday after receiving roadside treatment after the crash. At 9.30am a bicycle and a black Land Rover collided on a pedestrian crossing near the roundabout between Beverley Road and Kingston Road. Police and the ambulance service rushed to the scene where paramedics treated an adult at the side of the road, before they were taken to hospital on a stretcher. Read more: Willerby crash live updates The incident caused traffic in Willerby to hit a standstill for over an hour after witnesses said the injured individual was “knocked down”. It happened at the roundabout between Beverley Road and Kingston Road (Image: HDM) Earlier on Wednesday one witness said: “There is one person being treated by paramedics by the roadside on a stretcher. There are lots of police and ambulance staff at the scene. “It looks like someone had been knocked down on the pedestrian crossing.” Another added: “The incident looks serious as paramedics attend to an individual by the roadside on a stretcher. “It looks serious.
