Places with the worst drivers in the UK mapped
The places where drivers have racked up the most penalty points for committing road offences have been revealed. You can use our interactive map to find out what the standard is like in your neighbourhood. Nationally, a total of 3,461 people have more than 12 points on their licence. That includes 297 with more than 20 points, and eight people with more than 50. The most points any one individual has on their driving licence is 176, according to the DVLA’s data. That person lives in the CH5 postcode area, which is west of Chester, just across the Welsh border. A driver in the OL4 postcode area (Oldham) has 126 points on their licence according to the DVLA’s data, while someone in WR4 (Worcester) has 102 points on their licence, someone in HP13 (High Wycombe) has 96 points, and a person in CT14 (Kent) has 72, as does someone in L39 (Ormskirk).
