Police explain Spring Bank closure at Park Street junction as…

The location of a serious collision in Hull has again been closed by police as they investigate the death of a pedestrian. A 74-year-old woman was seriously injured after she was hit by a car while crossing the junction of Park Street and Spring Bank on December 14. Sadly, she died in hospital two days later. Hull Live understands a car struck her while turning left onto Park Street at around 11.35am that morning. Officers from Humberside Police arrived at the scene shortly after and closed the junction. Police officers wrapped the injured pedestrian in a foil blanket while they waited for an ambulance to arrive and the road was reopened shortly before 2.30pm. Following reports the road had been closed again today (Thursday), a spokesperson for Humberside Police told Hull Live: “Officers investigating a road traffic collision on Park Street in Hull, near to the junction with Spring Bank, have this morning (Thursday 4 January) closed the road between Spring Bank and Park Street as a part of a reconstruction. “On Thursday 14 December it is believed a Blue Honda FR-V and pedestrian collided at around 11.35am and a 74-year-old woman was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment for serio
