Police issue statement on ‘serious’ crash blocking A63 slip road

Brough Road, which takes drivers between South Cave village and the nearby A63 junction, had to be completely shut at around 3pm. It is understood the crash has involved one car but at least four fire engines, paramedics and Humberside Police officers all rushed to attend. Pictures taken at the scene show a car that appears to have left the road and dropped down an embankment, colliding with a number of trees. The A1034 flyover and the slip road which takes drivers onto the eastbound carriageway of the A63 were both closed to allow emergency services to access the scene.
