Police statement after crash blocks Park Street and Spring Bank junction

A city centre road was partially blocked after a collision. Drivers said they witnessed the crash on Park Street, off Spring Bank, on Wednesday afternoon. Eyewitnesses said traffic was moving slowly due to the crash. Humberside Police and Yorkshire Ambulance Service attended the scene. An eyewitness said cars were moving slowly on Spring Bank at the time. A woman was taken to hospital after the crash. A spokeswoman for Humberside Police said:  “Did you see a collision between a black car and a white Ford Transit van in Park Street, Hull, today? “The incident happened at around 2.10pm as both vehicles travelled towards the junction with Spring Bank. “However, the driver of the black vehicle did not stop to exchange details. Find the latest traffic updates near you “The van was not damaged in the incident but the driver has suffered minor injuries.” If you can help identify the car, please call the non-emergency 101 line quoting log number 373 of July 31.
