Humberside Police have issued an update after a speeding driver crashed into a Hull hotel. The driver careered over a roundabout and hit another car, before smashing through some railings and smashing into the Pickering Park Hotel in Askew Avenue on Saturday, February 12. Rather than check on the welfare of those in the car they had hit, the male driver tried to get as far away as quickly as possible and even asked departing hotel guests for a lift. A Humberside Police spokeswoman said: “Officers were in attendance at a road traffic collision on Boothferry Road, Hull at approximately 7:20pm on Saturday, February 12. “It is reported that a BMW and Seat Leon had collided. “Thankfully, nobody was injured as a result of the collision and the road was re-opened shortly after 8:30pm.” Hull Live understands that the driver of the white BMW, who witnesses reported fleeing the scene, has not been arrested yet by police.
