A cyclist has been seriously injured in a collision with a car. The incident happened shortly after 1.30pm between The Rampant Horse and the Orchard 2000 centre on Hall Road on Saturday, December 18. The cyclist has been taken to hospital. Click here for more Hull traffic and travel news A Humberside Police spokesperson said: “Road closures are currently in place on Hall Road, Hull following a collision involving a car and a bicycle shortly after 1.30pm. “The cyclist has been taken to hospital for treatment to what are thought to be serious injuries. Police at the scene in Hall Road (Image: Katie Pugh/Hull Live) “Motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible whilst emergency services are on the scene.” The car involved in the collision was seen by witnesses parked within the police cordon with its registration plate hanging off one side. A damaged black bike was laying on its side next to the car. Police cordoned off the area preventing vehicles from passing through. An eyewitness said her bus had to be redirected as it approached Hall Road, she said: “She said: “Accident on Orchard Park. I was on the bus, and it had to turn off as the road got closed.” Four police vehicles and an ambulance were present at the scene. In an earlier tweet, the police advised road users to avoid the area where possible, they said: “Please be aware that emergency services are in attendance at a Road Traffic Incident on Hall Road, Hull. “The road is currently closed between The Rampant Horse and the Orchard 2000 Centre.
