Police update on portable cabin smash which closed major road for hours

A main East Yorkshire road was closed for several hours after a large portable cabin fell from a lorry and smashed across the carriageway. The A165 Bridlington Road was closed in both directions for several hours after the accident at 3.30pm on Thursday and was only fully reopened in the early hours of Friday. Humberside Police have now confirmed the closure was in place to clear up the large amount of debris put there were no casualties. For the latest traffic and travel news click here. A spokesman said: “We responded to a road traffic collision on the A165 Bridlington Road near to Brandesburton at 3.30pm yesterday. “A transporter had shed its load of a large portable cabin which was blocking the carriageway. Find traffic updates in your area “No other vehicles were involved in the incident and no one reported any injuries. “The road was closed but reopened overnight.
