Power cut in Hull live updates as 120 properties without…
Traffic lights are out at a major city centre junction which is set to cause problems as rush hour traffic builds. The lights at the junction of Ferensway and Anlaby Road are not working and police have been drafted in to provide traffic control. There are reports a cable has been cut by Northern Powergrid staff carrying out work in the area but the company says it has had to be switched off for 'safety purposes'. Some 120 properties nearby are without power which includes a number of pubs and other businesses in the vicinity. On its website, Northern Powergrid has confirmed some properties are without power which is set to remain the case until around 8pm. We appreciate your patience and understanding.” Live traffic website Inrix has warned drivers there are issues on Ferensway. It says: “Heavy traffic due to traffic light failure on A1079 Ferensway at A1105 Anlaby Road. Approach with care.
