Sailings of P&O's Pride of Hull ferry have been delayed by almost three weeks, the beleaguered company has revealed. The ferry sailed away to Europort in Rotterdam in the dead of night shortly after P&O sacked 800 staff – including more than 60 from Hull. It has remained there for nearly three weeks. All sacked staff are being replaced by agency workers who will be on far lower wages in a bid to save money for the struggling company. Bosses admitted they broke the law in not carrying out consultation and notifying unions. There has been no official announcement from P&O and was only revealed in response to Twitter queries from customers.
