‘Priority’ works at Hull’s Spring Bank West and Walton Street…

Works which were set to take place at the junction of Spring Bank West and Walton Street later this month have been postponed, Hull City Council has said. A new date is yet to be announced for the works, originally set for Monday, February 19 to Friday, February 23 and from Monday, February 26 to Friday, March 1. A Hull City Council spokesperson said the works clashed with other schemes so they had been cancelled to keep traffic moving. It comes after the council wrote to affected households about the works, which would have seen the road and footpaths closed at the junction if they went ahead. The works, which aimed to improve pedestrian safety and slow down traffic, were set to take place from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
