Recap as crash shuts Sutton Road and Leads Road in Hull

Sutton Road and Leads Road were closed on Wednesday morning following a crash in rush hour. The accident, which happened near to the junction, closed the A1033 Holwell Road from the B1237 Leads Road. Travel system Inrix confirmed Sutton Road was closed eastbound and was Leads Road closed northbound after a collision at around 7am. The roads were shut for around two hours before they opened at 8.45am. Posting in the Hull Traffic and Travel Facebook group, one man just said: “Leads Road, Sutton Road, James Reckitt and other feeder roads are rammed. Twenty minutes to get down Gillshill Road, Stoneferry all affected.” Another motorist added: “I did ring an ambulance but an off-duty paramedic pulled up an took over to help.” These are the updates from what happened at the time in the blog below.
