‘Silly sausage’ arrested as car crashes into house in west Hull street

Emergency services were called to the scene in Lowther Street, off Albert Avenue, west Hull, at around 2.45pm on Wednesday, October 16. Humberside Fire and Rescue and Humberside Police attended the scene, although crews from the fire service soon left. A spokesman said: “A crew from West Hull have attended an incident involving a car colliding with a house on Lowther Street, Hull. “Crews are now not in attendance. “We got the call at around 2.45pm and the incident has been left with the police.” Humberside Police have tweeted about the incident saying one man is in custody for aggravated vehicle taking. They said: “One male in custody for agg TWOC from west Hull after he crashed this vehicle into a house. Thankfully no children were playing on the scooter in the garden. “As described by one onlooker, the ‘silly sausage’.” They added the driver had no insurance or licence. Click here for more news.
