Many drivers caught on Hull and East Yorkshire's roads whilst under the influence of drugs and alcohol have been banned from driving in recent days. Appearing at Hull Magistrates' Court last week, an array of drivers who were under the influence of cocaine, cannabis and alcohol were given lengthy driving bans and hefty fines. Here are eight driving offenders who have been sentenced by magistrates in Hull in the latest round-up. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay a £120 fine, £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £48 victim services surcharge. Thomas Soanes, 44, of Dunswell Road, Cottingham pleaded guilty to driving whilst over the legal alcohol limit. He was disqualified from driving for 26 months and ordered to pay a fine of £923, a £369 victim services surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
