Speed crackdown today sees five drivers caught on one Hull road

We're barely through the afternoon and Humber Roads Police have already had a busy day of it with eight separate offenders caught breaking the rules of the road. The T1 crew have managed to catch five speeding motorists along one major Hull route with other offences including driving without a license or insurance and one vehicle wanted in relation to poaching offences. Read more: 9 Hull tracksuit criminals including dog thrower and gang 'commander' The five speeding offenders were all caught on Hedon Road which heads east from Mount Pleasant and comes to an end near the Salt End Roundabout. It has been a busy few days for the Roads Police with one driver yesterday being clocked at an incredible 122mph on the M62. It was only in June this year that a serious crash saw Hedon Road closed for nearly six hours as emergency services worked to save those involved. The road was closed from Hedon to Burstwick for nearly six hours on Monday June 7 with motorists advised to avoid the area. A woman was taken to hospital for treatment following the accident. Among the other offenders listed by the police was a vehicle seized in relation to poaching which has been a focus of Humberside Police's rural task force in recent months. At the end of last month, three Hull men pleaded guilty to poaching offences after being caught on farmland in East Yorkshire. The trio were caught trespassing on farmland between Humbleton and Sproatley in East Yorkshire at around 11
