Spring Bank shut by police after incident – live updates

Spring Bank in Hull is currently shut to traffic as police deal with an incident. Photographs from the scene have been shared in Hull Live's Traffic & Travel Facebook group. It shows an officer in high vis clothing blocking the traffic in one direction, while a police car is parked across the roads to stop vehicles from approaching the other side. Hull Live understands police CSI teams have been observed by witnesses but the nature of the incident is currently unknown. Hull Live has contacted Humberside Police for comment. Key Events Join our new WhatsApp community and get breaking news in Hull straight to your mobile 12:43 13:53 Sofie Jackson Humberside Police statement A Humberside Police spokesperson said: “Officers investigating a road traffic collision on Park Street in Hull, near to the junction with Spring Bank, have this morning (Thursday 4 January) closed the road between Spring Bank and Park Street as a part of a reconstruction. “On Thursday 14 December it is believed a Blue Honda FR-V and pedestrian collided at around 11.35am and a 74-year-old woman was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment for serious injuries to her leg and hip. “Two days later, on Saturday 16 December, the woman died in hospital.
