Stagecoach announces huge changes to bus services in Hull

The changes will come into effect on Sunday, November 3, where there will be an increase in the frequency of buses in some areas by 33 per cent. After investing £8.4m into new vehicles and service improvements over the past three years, Stagecoach hopes these upcoming changes will help passengers make the most of the city in the run-up to Christmas. Matt Cranwell, managing director of Stagecoach East Midlands, said: “We are dedicated to providing comfortable and efficient public transport to our local communities. “Customer feedback is very important to us and we are constantly finding ways to improve our services and enhance our bus routes. Stagecoach buses in Hull City Centre “We are delighted to be able to announce these improvements to our bus network in Hull and hope that the changes enable our passengers to make the most of the city, especially in the run up to Christmas.” The planned changes will see an increase in the number of buses running in Anlaby Road, Hessle Road, Orchard Park, Avenues and Hull University. The changes include: There will be an increase in the main services for Anlaby Road and Hessle Road with a bus every seven to eight minutes, Monday to Friday and up to every ten minutes on Saturdays, which is a 33 per cent increase in frequency. There will be up to eight buses every hour with Service 2 in Anlaby Road which will operate every 15 minutes as a circular with Service 1 via Hessle Road, and every fifteen minutes extending to the Hessle Sainsbury’s. Hessle Road will be served by a combination of Service 1 every 15 minutes and the Park & Ride Service 20 every 15 minutes, which will operate via Hessle Road, Rawlings Way and Hul
