Stagecoach East Midlands will introduce new tickets and fares from next week that is says will bring a range of benefits to bus passengers in Hull and East Yorkshire. The company said the new structure, which comes into force on Monday, April 25, had been designed to provide a more consistent range of tickets across towns in the wider region, including Hull, Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Gainsborough and Lincoln. The changes will introduce four price bands for singles and returns, as well as a new ticket range for young people. It marks the first review of fares and tickets in three years. Stagecoach East Midlands said singles would cost as little as £1 across the region, with customers paying no more than £4.50 for a journey. Read more: All-day bus lane rules set to be made permanent in Hull New flexible ticket options are also being introduces, including Flexi 5 and Flexi 10 bundles of DayRider tickets, which offers savings of 30 per cent on individual tickets and are valid for up to 12 months. In addition, young people aged 19 and under will be offered discounted tickets include a new MegaRider, which will be 20 per cent cheaper than an adult fare, and a £5 'Day Out' ticket. Discounted tickets will be offered to passengers travelling further afield, with an East Midlands Connect Day Out ticket now costing £7.80, down from £9.30.
