Three people have been arrested after a “stolen” car smashed into a bus stop in east Hull in the early hours of this morning. The white Toyota caused serious damage to the bus shelter, flattened an electrical box and knocked down a lamppost. Three people are believed to have fled the car following the crash at around 2.15am. Police said the Toyota was reportedly stolen from Dodswell Grove, about two and a half miles away from where the crash happened in Bellfield Avenue, Ings estate. They remain in police custody. Last night, residents reported a helicopter circling the area and a large police presence.
